Personal Statement

My name is Leila Rozumski, and I am a student at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. I have been studying music for ten years, and am pursuing a bachelor of music in music industry on the pre-law track. I also plan on minoring in business law and business technology. After college, I plan to work as a music attorney and eventually as a music business executive. I have always been inspired by other musicians’ artistry and it would be a rewarding experience for me to support them in their careers. 

Biography

Leila Rozumski is a student and violinist at the University of Miami Frost School of Music pursuing a bachelor of music in music industry. She is on a pre-law track and will be minoring in business law and business technology. Leila has been studying the violin for ten years and currently plays in the Frost Symphony Orchestra and as a freelance musician. In high school, Leila participated in several programs to develop her musicianship, including Global Strings at the Berklee College of Music, the Annapolis Symphony Academy, where she played principal second violinist of the Orion Youth Orchestra, and the Apex Arts Magnet program in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, where she played concertmaster of the Apex Arts and Broadneck High School orchestras. She also worked as a marketing associate intern at PopRiot Music Group in Columbia, Maryland, where she managed spreadsheets and conducted research on music and arts centers in the United States. Leila was awarded a President's Music Scholarship upon admission to the University of Miami and was also awarded principal's honor roll and admission into the National Society of Leadership and Success after her first semester. Outside of class, she is a member of the Music Industry Association, Chi Omega Fraternity, UCatholic, Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society, and Asian American Students Association.
